Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, is currently ranked as the second-most successful manager of all time.

Pep Guardiola has risen to the second spot on the list of most successful managers in history. This came after Manchester City secured a victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on August 16th.

The recent win marked Guardiola's 36th title, earned through his coaching stints at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City. Despite this remarkable achievement, he needs 13 more trophies to match Sir Alex Ferguson's impressive record of 49 successes during his extensive managerial career.

Guardiola's 36 titles have been amassed in a mere 14 active years on the sidelines, showcasing his extraordinary achievements, averaging about 2.5 championships per season. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first coach to win the European Super Cup with three different teams: Barcelona in 2009 and 2011, Bayern Munich in 2013, and Manchester City in 2023.

His illustrious journey in European football has seen him achieve considerable success with three of the continent's prominent clubs. During his tenure at Barcelona, which spanned four years, he secured an impressive 14 trophies, including three La Liga titles, two Champions League victories, and two FIFA Club World Cup triumphs.

As the head of Bayern Munich from 2013 to 2016, Guardiola clinched three Bundesliga titles and the FIFA Club World Cup, making his total haul seven trophies during his time in Munich.

Since his arrival at Manchester City in 2016, Guardiola has steered the team to five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields, and most notably, the Champions League in June, along with the recent Super Cup victory. Collectively, these accomplishments add up to an impressive tally of 15 trophies over the course of the past seven years.
