 A stray bullet from suspected kidnappers have killed an unidentified woman at Our Lady?s Bus Stop, Nkpor, along the Enugu/Awka/Onitsha old road, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. According to Punch, the bullets were aimed at a victim of the abductors who was fleeing from his captors before the deceased was hit The incident occurred at about 9pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, when the suspected kidnappers were pursuing the owner of a Honda Crosstour SUV.  A source said the car owner, while fleeing from the suspected abductors, hit an electric pole beside the road leading to Our Lady?s Industrial Centre, jumped out of the vehicle and fled. He managed to escape but one of the stray bullets from the suspects killed the woman who was standing by the roadside. A disturbing video of a schoolboy from Krugersdorp attacking a girl following a verbal altercation is currently being circulated on various social media platforms. The video shows the two girls arguing before the boy approaches them.  He hands something to the girl standing, and when she moves closer to him, the argument gets heated. The boy then pushes her with both hands, causing her to fall back onto the pavilion.  She retaliates by pushing him back, at which moment he grabs her by the hair and slaps her three times. A fight then ensues between the two which progresses onto the field, before the video ends. Krugersdorp police detectives are currently investigating a case of common assault, but no arrests have been made yet.   Yesterday, Governor David Umahi, CON, welcomed Chidiebere Nwigboji from Ikwo Local Government Area to the Ebonyi State Executive Council Chambers, New Government House, Abakaliki. Nwigboji had achieved an incredible feat by becoming the 3rd overall best student in Nigeria at the 774 Young Nigerian Scientists Presidential Award (774 YONSPA 2022). He is a student of Ebonyi State University Staff Secondary School, Abakaliki and the award was presented to him by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, HE Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, with a federal scholarship up to PhD level.  In response to this incredible accomplishment, Governor Umahi ordered an immediate donation of the sum of Three Million Naira and urged the Ebonyi State Honor Board to recommend him to be accorded the State Hall of Fame Honors. This was a well-deserved recognition of Nwigboji's hard work and dedication to his studies, and a source of great pride for Ebonyi State. Congratulations

A Nigerian named Kolawole Erinle has been indicted for allegedly defrauding Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in the United States of $1.4m.  An agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mr Ayotunde Solademi, on Tuesday, Feb. 7, told an Ikeja Special Offences Court how Kolawole Erinle allegedly defrauded Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences by spoofing, a form of cybercrime attack that targets businesses using forged sender addresses.  Solademi, led in examination in chief by the EFCC counsel, Temitope Banjo, told the court that KCUMB underwent a major construction project with a construction company called J.E.Dunn in Kansas City sometime in 2019 and the university made a wired transfer of approximately $1.41m to an account that it believed belonged to J. E. Dunn.  He said, "On March 27, 2019, J.E. Dunn contacted KCUMB asking about the payment for the pending invoices and KCUMB replied that the payment has been made.  "On March 28, 2019, Du

 FBI declares Nigerian man wanted after he flew to Nigeria despite pleading guilty to romance scams in the U.S.  A Nigerian man who skipped bond after pleading guilty to romance scams and other scam  in Atlanta, USA has been declared wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  Ugo “Caesar” Anele, who used to work in Atlanta and still has family there, is believed to be in Nigeria. According to FBI Special Agent Steve Evans, was supposed to serve three years in prison and pay his victims a million dollars in restitution. “The same week that he was supposed to report to prison, he fled to Nigeria using someone else’s name We know that he’s in Nigeria – in Lagos, Nigeria – and we’re looking for information about his exact whereabouts,” he said. Anyone with information on his exact whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.

  Bishop Denis Chidi Isizoh appointed as the first Bishop   Pope Francis has announced the creation of the Catholic Diocese of Aguleri and appointed  Bishop Denis Isizoh as the maiden Bishop.  The Pope announced this on Sunday, February 12, 2023. The new diocese of Aguleri was carved from the Archdiocese of Onitsha, making it suffragan of the Metropolitan See of Onitsha. Before his appointment as the Chief Shepherd of  Aguleri Diocese, Bishop  Denis Isiuzo has been serving as the  Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha and Titular Bishop of Legia. Bishop Isiuzo was born in 1956 in Ogbunike in the Archdiocese of Onitsha. He had his philosophical studies at Bigard Memorial Seminary Ikot-Ekpene (now St. Joseph's Seminary, Ikot-Ekpene) from 1976 to 1980. He equally studied Theology at Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu from 1982 to 1985. On September 28, 1985; he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Onitsha. Then on  May 1, 2015, he was consecrated the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese
