The absence of Sen. Elisha Abbo, who allegedly assaulted a nursing mother and the prosecution counsel, on Thursday stalled continuation of trial in a Zuba Chief Magistrates’ Court, in Abuja. Newsmen report that Abbo who represents Adamawa North Senatorial Zone was arraigned on July 8, 2019, for allegedly assaulting a nursing mother, Mrs. Warmate Osimibibra. At the resumed hearing, the police counsel, James Idachaba, and the defendant, (Sen. Abbo) were not in Court. However, one Philip Tumba from the legal department of the FCT Police command told the court that, the prosecution counsel was attending a meeting with the Inspector-General of Police. Tumba also said there was a letter of adjournment from the police which was filed at the court registry yesterday (Wednesday) but not served on the defense. Netflix has been ordered by a Brazilian judge to stop showing a film depicting Jesus as a gay man and which prompted a gasoline bomb attack on the satirists behind the film. The ruling by Rio de Janeiro judge, Benedicto Abicair, on Wednesday responded to a petition by a Brazilian Catholic organization that argued the “honor of millions of Catholics” was hurt by the film. The special was produced by Rio-based film company, Porta dos Fundos, whose headquarters was targeted in the Christmas Eve attack. Judge Abicair said the program’s withdrawal “is beneficial not only to the Christian community, but to Brazilian society which is mostly Christian.”

Pop superstar Justin Bieber announced Wednesday that he has Lyme disease.   In a post on Instagram, Bieber said he will address his struggle with the illness, which is contracted through a tick bite, in a YouTube documentary. “It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever,” the 25-year-old entertainer wrote in the post’s caption. If it is established that this plane was shot down by the Iranians the consequences will be grave for world peace and stability. Iranians were on the plane? So what? If you had any understanding of the concept of jihad and martyrdom you would know that sacrificing their own to achieve a military or political objective is standard for these people. If the Iranians have nothing to hide they should release the black box! If it was "just an accident" then why are all western Airliners suddenly avoiding Iranian airspace after the "crash"? I advise the skeptics to get sense and know that terrible things happen in war and that the innocent are often casualties.
