A lecturer in the Accounting Department of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Dr O.O  Aduwo, was yesterday disgraced after he was allegedly caught pants down while attempting to have sex with one of his female students simply identified as Nike who he had invited to his home. According to reports by the students of the Institution , Dr Aduwo is allegedly well known for pestering his female students for sex. Yesterday, Nike alongside her boyfriend and some of her other friends, planned that she should go and see the randy lecturer as he demanded. While in his home, Nike's boyfriend and her friends who were laying siege outside the house, barged into the room and caught him on tape stark naked. The lecturer who was visibly shaken after he was apprehended, could be heard appealing for a private meeting with those who caught him. According to students of the Institution, Nike allegedly shared the video on her Whatsapp stories.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ilorin Zonal Office has arraigned a 31-year-old herbalist, Jamiu Isiaka on a four-count charge in a Kwara State High Court, before Justice M. Abdulgafar for impersonating the group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru and the special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina and duping a Korean national in the process. The suspect, with others at large, allegedly used the names of the senior government officials to scam a South Korean national, Keun Sig Kim to the tune of N30million (Thirty Million Naira) under a false pretence of securing for him an NNPC approval/marketing form and license certificate to buy crude oil in Nigeria. A video currently trending on social media shows a man expressing frustration after he returned to Nigeria after 13 years in Europe, to discover his family had squandered all the money he sent home. Most times, people travel to other countries seeking a better future so as to take care of themselves and their families. With the goal of setting up a good life in Nigeria, most people often send money home for their families to either build a house or start up a business. For this Nigerian man who returned from Europe after 13 year however, it appears things didn't go as planned for him as he returned to Nigeria to discover his family squandered all the money he sent home. In the video, the man is seen acting very hysterical towards a woman who appears scared and in tears, pleading to him. Another man is also seen trying to stop the angry man from harming the woman who at the point appears to be helpless and somewhat guilty.

Fasasi Olabankewin, popularly known as Dagunro in the Yoruba movie industry, is dead. According to sources close to the actor, Olabankewin had battled an undisclosed ailment in the last few years. The actor, however, gave up the ghost in Lagos on Wednesday. Known for taking on roles portraying Yoruba culture and tradition, Olabankewin had produced some movies and featured in several others. Some of the movies he featured in are JJC , Malu Funfun and Atanpako, while actors like Murphy Afolabi, Muyideen Oladapo and Lookman Raji were said to have passed through him at different times in the past. During a visit by our correspondent to the Alajo Compound, Isale Osun, Osogbo, where the late actor was to be buried, mourners from different parts of the state were seen commiserating with the family. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Imo State Command, has arrested one Paul Ihuaku for allegedly raping his mother. PUNCH Metro gathered that 45-year-old Ihuaku hails from Umueke Ezagbogu in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State. Briefing journalists on Thursday, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Raji Ibrahim, said the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the corps following a tip-off. It was gathered that after the incident, the mother reported the suspect to the youth in the area, who apprehended him and alerted men of the corps. “The men of the command later proceeded to the residence of the suspect and arrested him,” he added. Fielding questions from journalists, the suspect confessed to the crime, adding that he was under the influence of alcohol. “After drinking on that fateful evening, there was a heavy downpour and I could not resist the urge for sex; so, I had to use a local pistol to threaten my mother to submission

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday honoured the winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election, the late Chief MKO Abiola, by renaming the Abuja National Stadium after him.
