 One time, I had gone on a date with a serving Senator. Wine was brought and opened. Oga Senator who was on a call, finished his conversation and asked that I poured his drink. I told him I don't pour drinks for men. I told him "I am a lady. You serve me".  The "African man" "euphemism for egoism" kicked in.  Man insisted it was my "duty" to pour his drink.  I told him he was joking. Etiquette demands that he pours my drink first, and then his, last. "Otherwise, call the waiter to do it". When I saw he was going to keep at it, I told him I needed to use the restroom. I excused myself and didn't return.  He called many times when he realised I had gone. I did not pick his call till the next day.
