A two-year-old toddler succumbs to starvation in the United Kingdom.

 A two-year-old toddler named Bronson Battersby reportedly died of starvation next to his deceased father, Kenneth, in the United Kingdom.

 According to the Daily Mail, the family revealed that Battersby was discovered wearing pajamas beside his father, aged 60, who is believed to have suffered a heart attack shortly after he was last seen alive on Boxing Day.

A social worker, conducting a routine visit, found no response when visiting their home in Skegness, Lincolnshire, on January 2. After a second unsuccessful attempt on January 4, the social worker contacted the police. 

Shockingly, the bodies of Kenneth and Bronson, who was considered vulnerable and received weekly checks, were not discovered until January 9 when the social worker, using a key from the landlord, gained access to the home.

Bronson's mother, Sarah Piesse, 43, stated that she last saw her son before Christmas following a disagreement with her ex. She expressed frustration, blaming social services for not fulfilling their responsibilities, claiming that if they had acted promptly, Bronson might still be alive.

 Piesse revealed the post-mortem results, indicating that Bronson starved to death after his father's demise, estimated to have occurred no earlier than December 29.

 Piesse emphasized the importance of relying on social workers to ensure the safety of children and called for accountability. On Facebook, Bronson’s sister, Melaniie Battersby, mourned the loss of the "beautiful little boy."

Expressing love for Bronson as an integral part of their lives, his sister conveyed her heartbreak, stating that her emotions are torn between anger and wanting to remember his sweet nature. She emphasized that, despite the turmoil, he was perfect.

Sarah, the mother of three, last saw Bronson following a disagreement with Kenneth before Christmas. A family friend shared that the toddler enjoyed watching Cocomelon, loved nursery rhymes, and often played with his Little Tykes drum kit.

Bronson's last sighting alive was on Boxing Day when a neighbor visited the house. Kenneth messaged the same neighbor expressing gratitude for caring about him and Bronson. 

On that day, a social worker texted Kenneth to schedule a visit on January 2. After receiving no response during the visit, she contacted the police and repeated the process on January 4.

Taking matters into her own hands on January 9, the social worker entered the property with a key from the landlord, discovering the lifeless bodies of Bronson and Kenneth. The police and paramedics arrived promptly, pronouncing them dead at the scene.

Kenneth, unemployed and with a pre-existing heart condition, had suffered severe jaundice in the months leading up to his death. Bronson, classified as vulnerable by social services, received weekly visits from social workers.

Heather Sandy, the executive director for children’s services, stated, "This incident was tragic, and we are providing support to the family during this challenging time."
