Former Ebonyi SSG challenges APC primaries results

A former state secretary in Ebonyi under governor David Umahi, Banard Odoh, has alleged in court that fake lists of delegates in two local government areas were used in the party primaries that produced Senator Sonni Ogbuoji as candidate.
Odoh served in the Umahi government for three years before resigning to join the APC race in which he came second with 519 votes.
In an interview with journalists at his residence in Abakaliki on Sunday, he said victory for candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming polls as supreme to any individual quest.
“What is before the court is internal matter of the party which the court shall resolve, so as a party man under All Progressives Congress victory for candidates of my party remains supreme,” he said.
“Therefore, l’m using this opportunity to call on my supporters, my followers and the general public in the state and beyond to support and vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections,” he said.
His case in court has been adjourned from last week to February 6.
