Ex-FADAMA boss drags Ebonyi govt, six others to court
Former FADAMA coordinator, Mr Cletus Nwakpu has dragged Ebonyi State government and six others to the National Industrial court sitting in Abakaliki the state capital.
Recall that Cletus Nwakpu who was appointed as the Ebonyi State project coordinator of FADAMA from February 2017 was suspended by the state government on 14th July 2020 for alleged embezzlement of funds.
On the 28th day of January 2022 the claimant dragged the defendants before Justice Oluwaseyi Arowosebe to seek redress in a suit marked NICN/ABK/08/2021.
During the court proceedings, Luke Nkwegu, Jerry Ezenyi, Iteshi Steve Ofoke held the brief of Mba Ukweni SAN for the claimant while Chukwu- Uba Decency held the brief of Agbai Nnachi Agwu for all the defendants.
The case could not move on following a concern raised by the claimant’s counsel that the defendants two days ago filed what he described as a memorandum of conditional for appearance.
Hence, the matter was later adjourned to 18th March 2022 for hearing.

A House of Representatives member representing Ideato Federal Constituency in Imo state, Ikenga Ugochinyere, has said that some South-East governors have failed to bring an end to the crisis in the region because they are benefiting from it.
