Official Flag-Off Ceremony of the Okpataozuoha Arts and Sciences Competition 2025 Held in Ikwo LGA.


The Okpataozuoha Arts and Sciences Competition 2025 has officially been flagged off for secondary schools in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The grand opening ceremony took place at Urban Model Secondary School Ndufu Echara, Ikwo, amid a gathering of esteemed dignitaries, education leaders, and students.




This initiative is part of the C-sagas Charity Foundation which one of it's aims and objectives is to promote academic excellence and practical skills development among secondary school students in the region and beyond.



The event was presided over by a distinguished scholars committed to youth development, education, and skill acquisition in Ebonyi State. Leading the ceremony was:

Comrade Nchonu Theodore, Chairman, Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikwo LGA, Mr. Akuma Joseph Principal, Urban model Secondary School Ikwo.

The event took place at Urban Model Secondary School Ndufu Echara, a symbolic location representing the academic pride of Ikwo LGA. Students from various secondary schools within the local government were present to witness the launch of the competition and to gain inspiration from the speakers.



The audience was addressed on the importance of combining academic brilliance with hands-on skills to meet today’s global and local challenges. The emphasis was placed on creativity, critical thinking, science, and technological innovations among young learners.



The Okpataozuoha Arts and Sciences Competition 2025 is designed to:




* Encourage innovation and creativity in science and the arts

* Inspire healthy academic competition among students

* Promote practical skill acquisition alongside classroom learning

* Identify and nurture talents among youths in Ikwo LGA

* Foster community participation in educational development.


With the successful flag-off of the 2025 edition, the organizers hope to expand the program's reach and impact in the coming years. The support of educators, parents, community leaders, and government officials is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the competition.


As the activities unfold, participating schools will engage in various science and arts-based challenges, presentations, and project exhibitions.
